How to find us
A9 to Aviemore. After Aviemore take first exit signed to Carrbridge. At Carrbridge turn right onto the A938 sign posted to Dulnain Bridge. After 2 miles turn left onto the B9007 sign posted to Ferness and Nairn. Drive over the moors for approx 10 miles. Pass the crossroads signed left to Dulsie and continue for another 1.5 miles and you will see our gate lodge on the left. It is a very hard left turn into the drive and you will only be able to see the Glenferness House sign after making the turn. Follow the tarmac drive for a mile and you will come to Glenferness House. If you arrive in Ferness village you have gone 2 miles too far.
At the eastern edge of Nairn turn right onto the A939 towards Grantown-on-Spey. After approx 10 miles you will cross over the River Findhorn and come to Ferness village. At Ferness turn right onto the B9007 towards Carrbridge. Drive for 2 miles and then turn right by our gate lodge on to the tarmac drive. Continue down the drive for a mile and you will come to Glenferness House.
Take the A940 south out of Forres. After approx 5 miles turn right onto the B9007 to Carrbridge. Go through Ferness and continue for 2 miles as above.
To the Studio
From the gate lodge follow the tarmac drive towards Glenferness House. After passing The Kennels there is a beech hedge running along the left hand side of the drive. Where the hedge ends turn left along a gravel track to the Studio.
To Stable Cottages
From the gate lodge follow the drive down to Glenferness House, before the gravel keep on the road that bears right. You will see the West Stable Cottage straight ahead and East Stable is to the right on the other side of the Stable block.
To The Wooden House
From the gate lodge follow the drive down to Glenferness House, before the gravel keep on the road that bears right. Just before the West Stable Cottage you must keep left taking you round to the back of Glenferness house and where you will find the front door of the wooden house.
Continue past the gate lodge on the B9007 towards Carrbridge for not even a mile. It’s the 2nd track on the right (wheelie bins at the road end, house sign at the gate) follow the track through the woods to the cottage.
